Via de mailinglist kreeg ik het volgende bericht, wat ik heel erg netjes vind richting klanten.
Natuurlijk is het vervelend dat de updates er nog niet zijn, maar ze leggen uit wat de situatie is. Eerlijkheid!Analogians,
There are only two areas where the Omega 2 Multi functionality does not
match that of the Omega 8: volume adjustment per part, and the
capability of removing a voice from its main outputs--this is less of a
problem (with the Omega 2) since there are only two voices. Apart than
those patent shortcomings, Multi operation is otherwise identical. You
can with no difficulty employ the Omega 2 to function in Split, Layer,
or Multitimbral mode. The Arpeggiator is more prone to crash on the
Omega 2 (sadly), but that will be fixed with the next version OS.
We've weathered a tough pair of years (with a slowed economy) and were
compelled to devote a considerable amount of time to establishing new
product lines: our MODMAX and Wolftone

Caswell Audio Series

products--essential for insuring the stability of the company.
Thankfully, we ended the year on a high note with a surge in sales
(especially Omegas) that appears to be continuing into the New Year.
Now that Winter NAMM is over, we've allotted the next 6 weeks to finish
up the SE1X update and the 'last touches' and debugging of the Omega 2
and 8.
STUDIO ELECTRONICS takes very seriously the proper maintenance and
operation of our products, yet we are admittedly guilty of the severest
of delays respective to the upgrading of the SE1X and Omega 2... we are
just a few people here who lack not effort, but scratch (financial
wherewithal), so we ask that you please accept our sincerest apologies
and deepest thanks for your patience.
Regards,
Greg St. Regis
